Section 18: Finished Prosealing Tanks (50 / 222 wings / 559 total)
It has been a long while since my last update. The tanks are now "almost" complete. I have left the tank baffles off for now. I may consider installing capacitive senders, once they are made available from Van's, which i am told they are working on. I way overdid the taping. Yes, proseal is messy, but who cares if the lines are not perfect or there is a drip here or there. It will have no affect on the final product. These are the AD6 rivets bought from Van's to fill the tooling holes. I had to cut the length down a bit with a hacksaw. The above are random prosealing tasks. The above show the fuel return and vent lines. Bucking these AD4 rivets was a pain due to the tight quarters in the nose area. I found these at Harbor Freight for $.99 / box of 100! Holy hell was this cheap. These nitrile gloves are the best. Must haves! They hold up to MEK and proseal much better than with plain latex. Right fuel sender Left fuel sender
