    Section 18: Prosealing Lessons

These are my most important lessons learned regarding proseal, in random order.

    1. Use the nitrile gloves, which hold up better to MEK and proseal.

    2. Use MEK. Lacquer thinner did almost nothing for cleaning up proseal.
    3. I think I used too much proseal in places. When fay sealing a rib flange for instance, you want a nice bead of squeezed out proseal. However, extra proseal oozing out forming blobs of it, is probably too much. That excess proseal serves no purpose.
    4. Because of #3, whatever excess oozed-out proseal you see, I used an acid brush with the bristles cut down a bit to a 1/4" long, I smoothed the proseal or filleted the proseal around any edges, to make a nice seal. Not only does fillet sealing LOOK better, but you are smoothing the excess proseal into areas where the coverage may be thinner, where it is more useful.
