Section 6: First Priming Session (5 day / 20 tail and total )

I keep going back and forth on whether to track hours or not. I will go back to tracking hours again, just because I am curious how I compare with others.

I decided I have put off priming for too long. I first had to buy a few items, which I found in the local chinatownish area. This store called Kamei was perfect for finding all things plastic: wash tubs, funnels, and measuring cups.

My first alodine attempt turned out these results. The main difference on the far right piece is that I let the piece soak in alumiprep for longer than the others, maybe too long. Allowing the piece to etch longer allowed the alodine to work more thoroughly, hence the deeper gold color. Interesting.

This is my first attempt at spray can painting with GBP-988 on the parts. I had a few runs and a few thin spots. I will have to work on the technique.
