    Workshop Setup Weeks

This is my first entry. However, i spent the previous 3 weeks to setup shop. Prior to that, i spent several weeks researching my choice of Van's kit, toolkits, tools, and a sanity check as to whether i had a reasonable chance of succeeding.

The culmination of 2.5 weeks worth of work to set up shop is shown in the picture below. A summary of some of the new items are: new flourescent lights, jerry-rigged work-table (plywood on top of an existing buffet table), reorganization to figure out where to put the treadmill, running extension cables hanging from the ceiling, and setup of the air compressor in the basement bathroom.

I did make one custom table based on EAA 1000 worktable design.

This is the basement bathroom with the compressor.

    UPDATE 10/28/07

DO NOT get this Husky compressor. the Kobalt compressor from Lowes is comparably sized and is MUCH quieter for the same price. It has more "stuff" on the top of the tank, maybe a muffler or similar. A friend bought the Kobalt model and i was shocked at how much quieter it ran than mine.
